Do Democrats have a strategy to counter Repubs for next two years?

Or is their plan simply to react to John Boehner and the Tea Baggers? After all, we still have the Senate and the White House.

Perhaps they should try to go on the offensive?

How about a call to freeze porkbarrel spending going to the different states? Maybe they should point out how much the Repubs spent the last time they were in power, with bridges to nowhere, etc?

Perhaps they should call for restraint on spending on office expenses, franking privileges, etc?

Perhaps the Democrats might want to point out that the Repubs want to cut the neediest people, the poor, the unemployed, and the elderly, while they give taxcuts to the wealthy and the corporations?

Focus on Republican spending like a laser. Because they always spend like drunken sailors while they talk about cutting spending.

Maybe it is time to stop playing defense and go on the offensive? Maybe?

6. That is an entirely differnt subject. And liberals are the most

involved group of people in the communities of America already. And even if they become even more involved, the Professional Democrats would still need to have their own strategy, liberal community involvment is excellent, but it does not replace organized leadership in the Congress and in the WH, not in any way, shape or form.

8. I think you're missing the point.

My point is mobilizing and becoming specifically active in promoting liberal policies. That means organizing, perhaps protesting, but overall it's something that needs to be done within everyone's community. And it ENHANCES leadership in Congress and in the WH. Liberalism needs to be recaptured and redefined within American political culture.
