7. In Arizona, the GOP legislature wants to get rid of progressive income

tax rate in favor of a flat tax, according to today's newspaper. And they can do it too, because they have huge majorities in both houses and the Governorship. My household is already paying a high rate and we have no dependent deductions so our taxes won't go up. They may even go down. However, two of my wingnut sisters and most of the others this wingnut state who voted these assholes into office, will see their taxes increase. Maybe substantially.

All of the small towns in Arizona, where rich people do not live, are extremely conservative. The ranchers and the blue collar people who voted for these wackos are in a big surprise.
