The Repubs. think the people gave them a mandate to "repeal and replace" healthcare!
Edited on Sun Nov-07-10 03:56 PM by jenmito
Even though they kept claiming that the Dems. weren't listening to "the people" who kept saying they wanted Dems. to concentrate on "jobs, jobs, jobs," they NOW say their top priority is to "repeal and replace" the healthcare reform law.

When it's pointed out to them that the exit polls from last Tuesday showed that 47% of those who voted wanted repeal, but 48% wanted to keep it as is or EXPAND it, they "refudiate" those numbers, saying that "polls can be shaped by how you ask the question," and that the people DO want them to do this.

I REALLY hope they DO spend their time trying to take away coverage for children's pre-existing conditions, coverage of "kids" up to age 26, etc. Hello President Obama again in '12!

1. For them the REPEAL part has always been more important than the REPLACE part
They won't be able to agree among themselves upon a replacement bill, so they will just drop it and go for repeal.

And then it will die in the Senate.

4. Yup-talk about not getting it! And the people who were "exit polled" consisted of
more RWers than Dems., and even THEY didn't give Repubs. a mandate to try to repeal HCR.
