4. "Mr." is an acceptable way to address the President.

I know that past Presidents were also addressed in that manner in the past.

As long as it wasn't "Obama" without "Mr." or "Mr. President"....

11. Steve Kroft is one of the President's favorite interviewers...

... has been doing interviews with him since '04 ... has welcomed Kroft into his home on numerous occasions.

In writing, it's considered poor form to KEEP using the same term over and over "The President ... the President .... President Obama" and I'd assume in spoken journalism, it's the same way.

I wouldn't stress it. ;)

8. Why can't he just say:

The Republicans have made my defeat in 2012 their only priority. They stand by while the country drowns. They hate America.
Then we all get bumper stickers that say "Republicans hate America" which is simplistic enough for those wishy-washy independents and win again.
