5. Stewart was really an asshole last nite. His remarks about Keith were totally uncalled for.

7. Hopefully there will be a clip soon. But in a nutshell he had on a boxer outfit
while he was taking punches for Keith, Rachel, and Bill Maher. Which was fine - he was defending his rally.

But then he said something like we'll all have to next 20 years on our shows to debate about his rally, and then went to the media saying that Keith was suspended indefinitely.... laughter. Then he showed a clip of the msm saying Keith would return on Tuesday, and ended that by saying something like - that will really teach him a lesson.

It was in poor taste. Nothing about how the grassroots got together to send a message to Griffin.

Even the part he did about Obama's trip was funny, but kinda defended the rw loony talking point by leaving the fact that they got this info from some news story in India.

10. Stewart is all for ratings
He is a comedian, not a gung ho politician. Once you understand that he is really funny.

12. Most people on this site---recognize he's a comedian...but also value his opinion as a pundit.
Which makes no sense to me.

18. Oh yes, him too and every suit you see on TeeVee
they are all in it for ratings. Their earnings are very
much dependent on ratings, so their first obligation is to
attract viewers, and ideology is never the highest priority.

Just like 99% of our politicians cater to campaign contributors and lobbyists. One of these days people will wake up and insist on only public financing of all elections with no private, union, foreign money allowed.

8. I fault Stewart for not begging his young audience to go out and vote..
His treatment of Olberman leaves a lot for a lefty like me to question. Always thought Stewart was more left, but I guess to get people on like that goofy Gov. Perry he had on last night, he has to roll over.

14. Maybe his corporate advertisers have a different sense of humor than you.
Stewart presents dry RW humor to a point of being painful.

I'd bet the corporate suits think that's so innovative. Anyways, watch carefully some of those who advertise during the Stewart hour--some of the usual suspects.

15. Yeah, I was in that crowd and thought "WTF?" when he said nothing about voting...
Only Tony Bennett told the crowd to vote.

21. Did you see the Colbert/Stewart press conference after the rally? He was asked if he thinks
people should go out and VOTE, and his answer was something like, "They should do whatever they WANT to do." :eyes:

His false, self-serving "moral equivilancy" shit at his "rally" was pathetic.
