1. I wonder if we should sign the petition?
A grassroots petition drive, parked at LetHerSpeak.com (http://www.letherspeak.com), is underway to encourage Bachmann, a Republican who earlier this summer formed the Tea Party Caucus, to challenge Ohio Rep. John Boehner for Speaker.

Wouldn't it increase our chances in 2012, a-la Gingrich?

5. Whooeeee---Me thinks she might be pressing her luck to the
edge.

Apparently the Tea Bagger did not get the Message.
Just because they won--they did not get a mandate.

Rule of Politics. Do not threaten the king unless
you absolutely know you can slay him. Ummmmm.

Let us watch this one.

7. Yeah, she did this two to four years too soon
Although Tea Baggers made huge gains, the establishment is still the majority of elected Republicans. Not for long, but for now.

In the Senate, it's even fewer. There are only two hard-core Tea Baggers, Rand Paul and Mike Lee, and Jim DeMint and roughly five others right behind them. Joe Miller is hard-core, but he's still losing in Alaska.

18. What about Rubio in Florida... He seems more extreme than Rand Paul in some ways...

19. The Paul people are starting to hate him
He's more of a neo-con, very pro-war, pro-Israel, pro-Patriot Act. He even was against Arizona's anti-immigration law, plus the establishment loves him, which is a no-no. Rubio is no different than George W. Bush, except younger and smarter.

The Tea Party are much less inclined to go to war, are anti-globalists, and many oppose infringements on civil liberties and a Police State.

28. Why does that scare you?
The more people find out about him, less popular he will be.

32. Unlikely.
The only Hispanic votes Republicans will be getting in 2012 are the older generations of Cuban-Americans. Who they always get, because that's one of the most right-wing groups in America.

6. Let them pick their own speaker.
Why would anyone want to give the impression that Bachmann is popular?

The Daily Caller is a RW rag.

8. It may be a RW rag, but the article wasn't bashing Democrats
It only stated what they are up to, which could be entertaining.

11. The latest was yesterday when Ron Raul said he would support her opponent
for the leadership role she was running for (number 5 in the House I believe). Maybe because Paul wants her for the top spot.

26. Someone said recently that America has lost it's way when someone like O'Donnell
could be an actual senate candidate. Now, with the republicans considering Bachmann for Speaker of the House, it is a sign that the country has given up on itself. It is all a joke now.

Politico

Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann dropped out of the race for House Republican Conference chair on Wednesday night, ensuring that the GOP’s leadership elections will go on without any serious competition.

In a statement sent to a handful of reporters Wednesday evening, the tea party favorite said that Texas Rep. Jeb Hensarling has her “enthusiastic support for his candidacy” for the top messaging post in the GOP.
