Check in with how you think Dems should "frame" what they believe in:
Cenk says Dems need to be able to articulate succinctly what they stand for just as R's do with their "limited government low taxes" self-label.
He advocates "Opportunity and Responsibility." I would take it a few steps further. Here is what we D's stand for:

* OPPORTUNITY to all who work hard and play by the rules.
* RESPONSIBILITY from all, including Wall Street, big corporations, and the rich.
* SECURITY in income, health, and retirement.
* INCLUSION of all Americans regardless of race, religion, national origin, and orientation.
* FAIRNESS in taxation and socially regardless of race, income level, religion, national origin, and orientation.
* PROGRESS socially, economically, and environmentally. We are the party of the FUTURE.

In contrast, the R's are the party of:

* The failed trickle down theory where only the rich are helped and then they are supposed to do what is right for everyone else, we hope.
* Recklessness in all of their policies, especially their economic and military policies. They have no problem slashing and burning Wall Street regulations and trying to be messianic militarists.
* "On your own" instead of mutual security.
* Exclusion and intolerance of those not just like them.
* No sense of fairness.
* Backwardsness in a big way. They want to return to the Articles of Confederation.

(What do you think?)

1. So I wanted to come up with a good anagram...
...for the items you mentioned, and I searched Google for "anagram"...

...and at the top of the results was this: Did you mean "nag a ram"?

Too funny.

Unfortunately orsifp did not turn up any good anagrams:

If Pros
Fir Sop
Fir Ops
Firs Op
Ifs Pro
Of Rips
Fop Sir
Prof Is
Profs I
Fro Pis
Fro Sip
Fro Psi
For Pis
For Sip
For Psi

Nope.

2. Economic justice - an anti neoliberal format.
Neo-liberals on the surface sound like liberals
But pass legislation like NAFTA or HIR - legislation
That is anti-worker and anti-human in favor of
A corporate status quo.

There is no effective dialogue pushing against these
Ideas.

This Reagan/Thatcher thinking is the only way
On the table right now.

Even with your list -- it's co-opted.

3. Question?
When you say "Neo-liberals on the surface sound like liberals" are you stating that as a negative. If so, do you think it is too late to change the public perception in regards to the label of liberal and liberalism?

4. I don't know. We haven't had the fight yet.
More than half of the disagreements you see here
On DU are in some fashion about it without
People knowing what it is they are arguing about.

We're divided up into 'activists'(I would contend centrists) and movementists(romantic left overs
From the 60s culture/civil rights wars)

The latter should be anti-neo-liberal.

But ignorance runs deep on both sides.

5. Thank you for the response
I guess this is what happens when you claim to be the big tent party. I think that the one issue the big tent party should agree on is civil rights. IMO that is the area that we need to work on. Thanks again.

6. The Democrats: Smarter Government, NOT Smaller Government
That's my bumper sticker idea.
