Put them on the record. Don't throw in the towel before the fight even starts!

1. Absolutely.
And go on the air and say over and over and over again "THEY ARE VOTING AGAINST YOUR TAX CUT FOR THEIR TAX CUT" and be sure the message is clear.

2. This is such a CLEAR winner ...
how they did not run a vote in the house two months ago is beyond me ... It would not have changed the Rs making big gains, but it WOULD have saved a lot of dems who went under ...

They have NOTHING to lose now, seriously ... Why not?

I just don't get it, it is 1) the RIGHT THING 2) it is a winner politically ...

I have supported BO VERY staunchly from both the right AND the left, but if he caves on this I will be deeply disappointed ...

3. it's a moot point - already decided
The White House signaled Wednesday that President Barack Obama is ready to cut a deal on the Bush-era tax cuts – accepting a temporary extension of the cuts for the wealthiest Americans to win renewal of tax breaks for middle-class taxpayers.

4. Who is going to "make" them?
Harry "Milktoast" Reid? Obama (who can't force the Senate to do anything)? Pelosi (who can't make the Senate do anything, either?)

I like all these strategies, but really, we have seen that the Democratic Party is neither cohesive enough nor nasty enough to do them.
