How many times do we have to have the rein jerked on us... to realize they are playing us
Every time one of the rumor mills jins up a new story.. Some jump on it, like it is the GOD'S honest truth.. and then three days later when it proves to be untrue.. or that those with a vested interest are trying to play the base...the ones who went purple take a two day vacation.

Just saying.

2. Three days? The Huffington Post article was debunked in 2 hours.
Sadly, won't stop the poutrage.

12. Debunked? Really?
I must have missed the news report of Axelrod denying what he was quoted as saying. Namely, that the White House is "open to compromise" on extending the tax cuts for the rich "temporarily", because we "have to take the world as we find it".

You don't signal that you are open to compromise by giving up your position before negotiations begin. Especially not when those you are negotiating with are hard-core and won't compromise one inch.

Call it what you want, to many of us that is known as "caving".

3. Agreed, Peacie.
Every time some new drama happens, I like to wait a few days -- I just can't play this kneejerek game. Once again, it has happened. I woke up this morning to total hysteria --

and then well --- that happened.

4. It will never end
The Huffington post is courting a certain audience. In order to keep that audience riled up she has to throw them a bone or two.

14. I've been using that same description for a long time ...
No matter what issue Obama is working on at moment X ... we DEMAND that he make issue Y his TOP PRIORITY ... until he does.

Then ... we scream WTF!!!! Why is Obama not focused on issue Z!!!??!!??

And as for the attention span needed to understand the impact of Blue-Dogs and GOP obstructionists??? COME ON!!!! Obama has the bully pulpit, from which he can throw lightening bolts, that will immediately persuade the BDs and GOP.

Oh wait ... I was distracted by my 11 year old daughter discussing a Percy Jackson book.

Never mind.

18. NP ... I forgot to trademark it .... btw, my other description of us ... yippy dogs.
We all run around in a circle barking at each other, with the big bone sitting right in the middle.

Meanwhile, the GOP dobermans sit off to the side, smiling, licking their chops, just waiting for us to exhaust ourselves. At which point they walk over and take the bone.

16. Apparently until our necks wear out from the strain.
There's a significant group of people here, I'm convinced, who want to believe every story that validates the idea of a failed/failing administration.

Even moreso, this plays right into the hands of the RW and they don't even have to lift a finger.
