Ron Christie Defends Rush Limbaugh's 'Driving Miss Nancy' Racist Smear of James Clyburn
Ron Christie Defends Rush Limbaugh's 'Driving Miss Nancy' Racist Smear of James Clyburn
By Heather

Ed Schultz managed to find the one black man in America willing to defend Rush Limbaugh's racist remarks about James Clyburn... former Dick Cheney aide Ron Christie. Ed... Ed... Ed... PLEASE STOP having this man as a guest on your show. He's obnoxious, truly obnoxious.

Christie claimed that his buddy Rush Limbaugh was taken out of context and then he attacked President Obama for his remark that Republicans should sit in the back of the car, which the talking heads at Fox have been hammering on for weeks as being racist. He's probably lucky Joe Madison wasn't sitting in the same room as he was because Joe looked like he wanted to slug him.

Here's what Christie was defending from our friends at Media Matters.

2. typical repug
response "taken out of context." When you hear the entire segment it is hard to see where the context was that you missed.

5. A much-less offensive term is "Uncle Tom"
Edited on Sat Nov-13-10 10:39 AM by Dennis Donovan
I really abhor ANY use of the N-word in ANY context! Sorry Cee Lo Green, I love "Fuck You" but you used the word in the song... :(

6. The word does not have to be THE N-word
There's a less offensive term that the poster may have meant

17. I guess you've never heard people refer to
the "house negro" - a term that, in my experience, black folks tend to use much more often than the one you're thinking of . . .

7. He Makes My Skin Crawl
so I no longer watch Ed Schultz.

There's another asshole Ed always has on who is paid by The Chamber of Outsourcing - Freehey, I think is his name. His connection to The Chamber is never disclosed prior to his opening his vile mouth

regularly. I just emailed Ed last week about some odious things she said about Harry Reid that he didn't call her on.

18. It was very interesting that Christie didn't find anything offensive about the "driving Miss Nancy"
comment, but then got his shorts all in a bunch about the President referring to allow the Republicans in the car only if they ride in the back but don't drive. To the twisted thinking of conservatives, the President's comment was racist, but Limbaugh's was just fine and dandy. And what's better than to trot out a black man to make that ridiculous argument?

These people are unbelievable.

Some of these black republicons must be paid very well when they can't even acknowledge racism when it is clear for everyone to see..

14. I have a problem with
republicans who will not show the balls to do what is just good politics. So Fuck repugs and Ron Christie and no amount of money will make his people respect him. He will always be considered the outcast. He probably was picked on as a child. He needs to advocating for non violence against children instead of kissing repug ass for the loot. Hate to see a good brother gone to waste. Congrats Jennifer!!!!He's all yours!!!

Ron Christie would do it.

Christie is a suck-up to power GOP figures and will happily defend them to the point of incredulity.

22. That was disgusting.
What the stupid tool doesn't know that every time he defends those bigots he condones his own dehumanization.

But like Steele, Elder and Benedict Thomas, they're lost causes who won't realize the damage of their endeavors until it is too late.

And they don't give a damn because the money and the pats on the head by their RW handlers are too good.
