Swingy Or Clingy?
What worries IN Dem chair Dan Parker "is the view among some liberals that the party shouldn’t tolerate the sort of centrist" Dems who populate IN. Parker: “Does the Democratic Party want to be a progressive party or a majority party?”
NC Dem strategist Gary Pearce "said he was also worried about some of the finger-pointing at the Blue Dogs in Congress." Pearce: “It would be a huge mistake for Democrats to abandon us" (11/11).

3. hah! I say. HAH! Compare the % of Blue Dogs who kept their seats as opposed to the
% of Progressive/Liberals who kept their seats.

Blue Dogs lost more seats. Progressives kept more seats.

I would say the Dems have a better chance of being the Majority Party if they ARE the Progressive party.

5. The way the Dems in Congress have been going, it will be neither.
It will not be progressive -- that is to say, traditionally Democrat.
Nor will it be in the majority in the Senate nor hold the WH.

And even if it were to retain a majority by moving further right, why bother to support it?
