Edited on Mon Nov-15-10 07:59 PM by jenmito
Obama was on his 10-day trip over-seas doing VERY important work yet we saw almost NONE of it in the media. Yet W was given a full hour interview on NBC, replayed multiple times on MSNBC, interviewed on CNN, Oprah, and of course Faux.

Palin's "reality show" was promoted to death on all cable news networks, complete with clips and info. about where the show will debut.

Then, after ignoring all the hard work President Obama has been doing, the media compares him to W-negatively, of course: "W had such a personable way, a common touch, a good guy. Obama seems out of touch with the people."

Then the media discusses Palin's show and how great it is to "re-introduce" her to the people in preparation for a '12 presidential run the way her show does-how people will relate to her.

I know everyone sees what's going on, but I wanted to point it out.

2. The undermining and disrespect given our President is ridiculous.
When the media goes to Sarah Palin's reaction to everything Obama does or says we should turn the channel. She has been pushed into the limelight, because the people that hate her watch her
every move. She is a female shock jock. Just like Howard Stern when he first went national. People that hated him listened intently every day to get angry and shocked by his vulgarity.
Palin is an intellectual vulgarity.

4. Yeah, especially here on DU. I'm not surprised
when it occurs elsewhere.

3. And yet so many people don't think Palin's a threat.
Even though she's already got 45% approval -- almost the same as Obama.

Scary.

5. Everyone sees what's going on, but then refuse to acknowledge
that part of our problem is the media,
and instead they blame Obama for everything....
as though he has powers to stop the fucked up media
from doing what it has already decided to do.

It's amazing how many want to pretend they don't know,
although they really do. Amazing. I just wonder why they do it.

6. Here is something else that pisses me off...
The Rally to Restore Sanity attracted a quarter of a million people, yet it got less than 1/4th of the coverage that Glenn Beck's rally received. And only about 75,000 people went to that event, about 175,000 less than Jon Stewart's rally! Argh, I hate the M$M! The next person I see who says that the media is liberal gets punched in the face.
