Republicans are no longer serious about governing

As far as I am concerned, it is now official that Republicans are no longer serious at all about governing. Politics, which used to be a means to an end (governing), has become the end itself. And because of this, Republicans are willing to do anything, no matter how bad it might be for the country, no matter how shameful, as long as it gives them more power.

This business with the nuclear treaty is making me just furious. And the nonsense about the tax cuts is not far behind.

They should be prosecuted for malfeasance or abuse of power when they do things like shut the government down or refuse to ratify a desperately needed treaty. Besides which, it is time to put these bullies on the defensive. I feel like they keep punching Obama in the nose and then blame him that it bleeds. And I think the meme that they are not at all serious about governing, only about payback to their rich friends, should be repeated and repeated and shouted from the rooftops!
