About the House leadership vote, what were 43 Democrats thinking?

This week the House voted on two bills, and both times Shuler was on the wrong side of the vote.

ironic. Shuler, who won by a thread, claims Democrats haven't learned anything by keeping Pelosi as leader. Yet it appears that after his blue dog caucus failed to support the Democratic agenda and suffering massive losses as a consequence, he's prepared to continue voting with Republicans.
