Way Back Machine.....January 20, 2009
“The question we ask today is not whether our government is too big or too small, but whether it works—whether it helps families find jobs at a decent wage, care they can afford, a retirement that is dignified. Where the answer is yes, we intend to move forward. Where the answer is no, programs will end. And those of us who manage the public’s dollars will be held to account, to spend wisely, reform bad habits, and do our business in the light of day, because only then can we restore the vital trust between a people and their government.”

President Barack Obama, Inaugural Address, January 20, 2009

http://www.americanprogress.org/issues/2010/02/doing_what_works.html

On Nov 2, 2010, mid term elections were held....

So what are republicans doing today to help solve problems we are still facing.....Not much at all, they are doing exactly what they did the first two years of, President Obamas term....just sitting there on their hands. Oh they get up once in a while, while they are in session to fire up their base with their incessant lies, but it seems to me they are sitting there with their hands in their laps talking to one another, 99% of the time. And has anyone noticed the looks of pleasure that comes across some of their faces? They sure are not doing the peoples business....What in the hell, are they doing, a thought come to me the other day, could it be they jacking off ?

1. He should've added more emphasis on the government issue. That way he could've pulled a reverse
reagan.

4. The past tense talk is not required......as it makes it seem too late, when it ain't.....

I agree with the statement that you made once the tense is made current.

Sorry...but just saying.

2. re: Obama
He got caught up in the health care quagmire... I think he wanted to do big stuff first while people were willing to make big changes. Maybe he should have started off on smaller things and built the momentum... I guess we'll never know.

5. The Republicans don't believe in serving. They believe in ruling.
The Democrats, of course think of themselves as servants of the people.

This the most profound difference and the utter corner rock of the parties ideologies. Everything else is added to the corner rock.
