-Palin Rips JFK's famous religion speech, saying he "seemed to want to run away" from his faith"
in her new book, "America, by heart."

This coming from she who ran away from her commitment to the people of Alaska. The 1/2 term Alaskan Chillbilly could learn a thing or two about persistence and courage by studying the life history of John F. Kennedy.

Example: after the well known heroics of JFK on PT 109, while recuperating from serious back injuries, he volunteered to rescue stranded sailors. The stranded sailors were at an island so remote that if the mission were successful in reaching and rescuing the sailors that Kennedy's PT boat would not have enough fuel to make the trip back to base. He volunteered, rescued the sailors, and brought everyone back alive.

Dopey Dan Quayle was foolish enough to compare himself to JFK but leave it to Snarky Sarah, the vicious grifter from the land of the midnight sun, to have the gall to question the faith of JFK. If she was required to meet truth in advertising standards in this work of fiction she should have named her book, "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants On Fire."

1. That irrelevant moron is forever judging people way smarter than
she is. It takes brains to know there is much you don't know. Failin does not have enough brains for that.

2. please
As noted before Palin is way out of her depth

From Wiki

In September 1931, Kennedy was sent to The Choate School in Wallingford, Connecticut, for his 9th through 12th grade years. His older brother Joe Jr., was already at Choate, two years ahead of him, a football star and leading student in the school. Jack spent his first years at Choate in his brother's shadow, and compensated for this with rebellious behavior that attracted a coterie. Their most notorious stunt was to explode a toilet seat with a powerful firecracker. In the ensuing chapel assembly, the strict headmaster, George St. John, brandished the toilet seat and spoke of certain "muckers" who would "spit in our sea". The defiant Jack Kennedy took the cue and named his group "The Muckers Club", which included long time friend Kirk LeMoyne "Lem" Billings. While at Choate, Kennedy was beset by health problems, culminating in 1934 with his emergency hospitalization at Yale-New Haven Hospital. In June 1934 he was admitted to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota and diagnosed with colitis. Kennedy graduated from Choate in June 1935. For the school yearbook, of which he had been business manager, Kennedy was voted the "Most likely to Succeed".<9>
In September 1935, he made his first trip abroad, with his parents and sister Kathleen, to London, with the intent of studying at the London School of Economics (LSE) as his older brother Joe had done. There is uncertainty about what he did at LSE before returning to America in October 1935, when he enrolled late and spent six weeks at Princeton University. He was then hospitalized for two months of observation for possible leukemia at Peter Bent Brigham Hospital in Boston. He convalesced further at the Kennedy winter home in Palm Beach, then spent the spring of 1936 working as a ranch hand on a 40,000-acre (160 km²) cattle ranch outside Benson, Arizona. That summer he raced sailboats at the Kennedy home in Hyannisport.
In September 1936, Kennedy enrolled at Harvard College, where he produced that year's annual "Freshman Smoker", called by a reviewer "an elaborate entertainment, which included in its cast outstanding personalities of the radio, screen and sports world."<10> He tried out for the football, golf, and swim teams and earned a spot on the varsity swim team.<11> In July 1937, Kennedy sailed to France, with his convertible on board, and spent ten weeks driving through Europe with a friend. In June 1938, Kennedy sailed oversees with his father and brother Joe to work with his father, Roosevelt's U.S. Ambassador to the Court of St. James's, at the American embassy in London; in August the family went to a villa near Cannes. In 1939, Kennedy toured Europe, the Soviet Union, the Balkans, and the Middle East in preparation for his Harvard senior honors thesis. He then went to Czechoslovakia and Germany before returning to London on September 1, 1939, the day Germany invaded Poland. On September 3, 1939, the family was in the House of Commons for speeches endorsing the United Kingdom's declaration of war on Germany. Kennedy was sent as his father's representative to help with arrangements for American survivors of the SS Athenia, before flying back to the U.S. from Foynes, Ireland to Port Washington, New York on his first transatlantic flight.
In 1940, Kennedy completed his thesis, "Appeasement in Munich," about British participation in the Munich Agreement. He initially intended his thesis to be private, but his father encouraged him to publish it. He graduated cum laude from Harvard with a degree in international affairs in 1940, and his thesis was published that year as a book entitled Why England Slept, and became a bestseller.<12> Kennedy enrolled and audited classes at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. In early 1941, he helped his father complete the writing of a memoir of his three years as an American ambassador and then traveled throughout South America

In 1984, Palin won the Miss Wasilla pageant.<31><32> She finished third in the Miss Alaska pageant,<33><34> playing flute in the talent portion of the contest,<35> and receiving both the Miss Congeniality award and a college scholarship.<28>
Palin attended Hawaii Pacific University in the fall of 1982 and North Idaho College in the spring and fall of 1983.<36> In June 2008, the Alumni Association of North Idaho College gave her its Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award.<37> She attended the University of Idaho in the fall of 1984 and spring of 1985, and attended Matanuska-Susitna College in the fall of 1985. Palin returned to the University of Idaho in the spring of 1986, receiving her bachelor's degree in communications with an emphasis in journalism in 1987.<6><36><38><39>
After graduating, she worked as a sportscaster for KTUU-TV and KTVA-TV in Anchorage,<40><41> and as a sports reporter for the Mat-Su Valley Frontiersman,<42><43> fulfilling an early ambition.<44>

4. Oh well do you really think that she wrote either book?
Just empty talking points written by others that Palin will take credit for ....
JFK was famous for his speech explaining his faith and duty to the Constitution &
Country.

8. I remember her reading an outtake from "her 1st book" and she ..
.... acted surprised and excited by a passage like it was the first time
she had heard it.

The whole "Palin thing" is a con .... she quit as Governor but talks about
leadership, she quit as mayor (hired a city manager). quit the Alaska Oil
and Gas Commission (too much work), pretended to ride a bus on
a book tour for a book she never wrote all the time flying in private jet,
got her house built for free by the company that built Wasilla's hockey
rink, grifted as the Governor, her kids are a train wreck .... tripp and willow
not counted, had a 2nd home built w/ views of Mt. Denali but paid no taxes
on the property until it was found out, and ......

Palin's act is propped up by a lazy media and millions of right $s.

6. I think JFK was running away from Arthur M. Schlesinger.
As I remember the story Arthur M. Schlesinger and Jack were sitting in church and Jack said to him "give me a twenty"

Now President Kennedy was , President and a rich man so he never carried cash.

"Why"

"The collection plate is coming and the people need to see their President is a generous man."

He never saw the twenty again.

BTW it could have been Ted Sorenson but I think it was Schlesinger. Its funny any way.

11. Kennedy Also Donated All of His Salary As President to Various Charities Across The Nation
He did it quietly and without fanfare. Yet as the above story illustrates JFK understood full well the importance of image and message. President Kennedy was careful not to present an opening for his opponents to exploit.

13. You are exactly right!
She doesn't believe in (or even understands) the separation of church and state.

And she has no idea of all the crap Kennedy was going through during his campaign because he was Catholic.

What an idiot! And this cretin wants to run in 2012?! GIve me a break.

And btw, I never was a big fan of John "Maverick" McCain; but after foisting this idiot on us, I hate him with a glowing white hate.

scare tactics. One thing that is adamant in Ted's bio is he was a proud Catholic as was all his family. It was his moral compass, what's hers I wonder, a weather vane maybe.

What a load. Actually President Kennedy and his wife Jackie were quietly faithful and each attended Mass if not frequently together.

There's an ongoing campaign to demean JFK all the Kennedy family. There is no way JFK could have even had time for all the womanizing he has been accused of and still conducted a very active Presidency.

From JFK and the Unspeakable: Why He Died and Why It Matters by James Douglass:

http://www.phibetaiota.net/2009/09/review-jfk-and-the-unspeakable-why-he-died-why-it-matters/

Excerpt:

The book’s most positive account is of the back-channel dialog JFK developed with Khrushchev, Castro, and the Pope, dialog that not only defused the confrontations of the time, but also ended the Cold War. The theology of peace, the role of Monk Thomas Merton, the role of Norman Cousins (author of The Pathology of Power – A Challenge to Human Freedom and Safety), the role of the Pope and Pacem in Terris, and the strength JFK drew from a single meeting with Quakers are moving. This is in many ways a resurrection of JFK and both an epitaph worthy of his unsung accomplishments, and a call to arms for achieving closure–truth and reconciliation–with respect to his assassination by US Government personnel committing treason.
