Sarah Palin will be as valid as Joe Miller and Sharon Angle by next June
Edited on Tue Nov-23-10 12:59 AM by zulchzulu
I'm watching Hannity softballing Sarah Palin and she simply is a neo-fascist theocratic soccer mom that would never be able to actually take the scrutiny of a presidential race outside of her comfort zone with Fox News lackeys and locksteppers.

She has been described as political soft porn by some who follow the media. She's like an attention seeking cheerleader at some junior high school who is vicious, vindictive, not that intelligent and quick to pull out the mirror to feed her Narcissistic addictions. Join her clique at your peril.

She is a poseur. She is a quitter. She is a phony airhead. She is like a chef who doesn't know how to operate an oven and brags that it's the oven's fault.

Her awkward stringing of sentences together is legendary and frankly amusing in its scatological chaos. Her obliviousness to her own hypocrisy attacking the mainstream media while seeking to go for the studio lights like a crazed bug is amusing with a lot of tragedy.

She wants to lure you into her land of myopia. Become spellbound with her stupidity. Make up allegations like a seasoned liar like her and join in the ooze of torpor.

Palin proudly backed Joe Miller, a charlatan thug too cowardly to admit he's a loser. She made all attempts to use her influence (with extravagant fees and perks) to support Sharon Angle.

They overstepped. They mismanaged. They lost. So did she in 2008.

Palin's trajectory is akin to the rockets blasting off as the NASA space shuttle Challenger made its mighty roar on liftoff. Her political career will be akin to that disaster by the time her blabbing mouth and the Republican National Committee backstage operators take her down.

2. But remember that Miller, Angle and O'Donnell *won* their primaries
So Palin has a shot at the nomination, even if she has virtually zero chance in the general election.

4. They ran in small, conservative-leaning states though.
Sarah Palin could not get elected dog catcher in most states, including AK. I think the fact Joe Miller got beat by a write-in was pretty indicative of her influence in her home state. Guess they don't like quitters!

7. Nevada and Delaware aren't very conservative-leaning
Delaware is deep blue, and Nevada is purple (as shown by Reid still winning despite being hated). And Palin is now much more popular among Republicans outside Alaska than in her home state.

I still don't think her getting the nomination is likely; I just think it's distantly possible.

16. I think the poster meant that the primary voters in those states tend conservative.
That's the reason AK got Miller, DE got O'Donnell, etc., the Republican primaries were over-run by the looniest segments of that party.

where the speaker says, “Our current Governor, Sarah Palin…was an AIP member before she got the job as the mayor of a small town…but to go along and get along she eventually joined the Republican Party…”

13. I saw that back during the campaign, and have never forgotten that she was an AIP member
Edited on Tue Nov-23-10 11:04 AM by DeschutesRiver
who merely ditched the membership in order to go Republican and get an AIP member in office. I also saw a tape where the AIP was describing how their members were encouraged to basically go undercover to run for elective office, say as a Republican, because they couldn't get elected if their AIP membership was known. But to further their goals, they needed people in higher office and were applauding Sarah Palin for doing so. Not words on a page - but repeated statements to this effect from AIP members.

And not a one msm outlet made this a major story during the campaign - instead, they went along with the pretend game that only Todd was AIP, and that even that was just a little mistake on his voter registration (one of several "excuses" I saw Palin and the McCain camp trot out).

When you see the video, hear it, it is quite amazing that this could have remained off the radar for the voting public. I even saw the AIP video of their February 2008 (believe that was the date) convention, where Sarah Palin delivered the opening address. And that didn't even fly to the top of the campaign story list...in a year when fake Rev. Wright outrage was carried on all the major networks. Whole damned thing pissed me off - glad to know someone else is aware of this as well, because most people think I am dogging Palin about this for no good reason, because "it would have been a headline item if true" is what I usually get as a response.

I wonder if or when this will come up as a "newly discovered" item during the eventual takedown of a Palin presidential candidacy? The knives seem to be being sharpened as of late in anticipation of the fade of Palin and her cult followers.

15. If anything shows the M$M's nature, this is it
Obama for instance - the media ranted on about how he "listened" to the Rev. Wright - the Ayers bit. If they treated Republicans equally, they would have gone on about this just as much.

20. You can't win them all. Several of the candidates that she backed won.
You didn't mention that perhaps because it doesn't fit in with your narrative. According to this article, 33 candidates that she endorsed won and 20 lost. That doesn't look like a bad record to me. If only the Democrats had done that well.

26. She made sure to ask them for a nice fee and requests for bendable straws...
Her big trophies like O'Donnell, Miller and Angle got trounced. Having the RNC people pay for Palin to show up for $50,000 to yak for 15 minutes and look at her butt in a red state seems admirable.

Not.

27. I agree with your opinion of her of course.
But unlike some at DU, I hope she does not get the GOP nomination in 2012 even though that would mean an easy victory for President Obama. I don't want to see her have another platform to use to spew her hate.
