I agree with Tweety's let me finish segment on TSA searches
He's right as soon as we are hit again the question will be who let that person do this and do that Monday morning quarter backing from all sides left and right and you know they will be blaming the President for not keeping us SAFE so Mr.President don't give in to the media pressure on this

I agree with John Amato (C&L.com):

Bad Policy only makes the Right Wing Noise Machine's job easier

The new TSA policy is awful and will have ramifications until the Obama administration does something about it. More and more people will be filmed to cause attention to themselves and also the new rules. We know that the right wing will exploit this as much as they can. If a Republican was in the Oval office they would be doing and saying the exact opposite. They'd give up their dignity in a second to prove that Conservatives are the only real Americans and care more about our safety than the left, but implementing a bad, bad policy only makes things easier for them and causes videos like this to explode on Drudge.

2. al qaeda will have a bomber with the package up their ass next time
and TSA will require body cavity searches no doubt.

Screw this - the terrorists are laughing their asses off at us. We will not fly again until this silliness stops. It's "security theater" - nothing real.

4. I don't want the president trying to keep me safe.
He took an oath to uphold the US Constitution, not to keep me safe at all costs.

This is fucking bullshit! I thought he taught constitutional law. :wtf:

9. No he isn't.
He's a fucking twit.

TSA security theater is total bullshit. It's run by fascists with a target audience of cowardly morons.

7. If and when we are hit again
with a fizzle-out jihadi more concerned with his 72 virgins than how to really make a bomb go off, it will undoubtedly be someone who smuggled a butt-bomb in from some Third World country where security can easily be bribed to look the other way.

The weakness in the system is that passengers from foreign lands are not scanned or groped on their way in, once they make it into our airport network, they can go anywhere they want with a pantload of mayhem.

It isn't ordinary Americans flying from Wichita to Grand Rapids that are anywhere near a part of the problem, but it's the head-up-the-ass thinking of the TSA that they are.

10. if we've learned anything, it's that the right will attack Obama no matter what
If TSA adjusts the procedures and there is another attack, then the right wing will certainly blame and attack Obama.

If TSA keeps the current procedure unchanged and there is another attack, then the the right wing will certainly blame Obama.

There is no scenario in which we are hit again and the right won't blame Obama.

11. Me too. The wingnuts and progressives will bitch no matter what he does
so he might as well do what he can to keep air travel safe. I'd rather be patted down than blown up.

12. I would rather be blown up.
This stupid shit isn't doing a damn thing to keep air travel safe.

The constitution is far more important than futile attempts to keep everyone safe all the time.

13. Just because we are in danger of a terrorist attack does NOT mean every security idea is a good one
TSA's current strategy is the case in point.

But if groping and forcing x-rays on me makes you think there's less of a chance of a terrorist attack, you might not want to cancel that life insurance just yet.

Cause it ain't doing shit.
