2. Romney is just another recycled candidate. I am
really getting tired of the also-rans and would-bes.

4. It's all a setup
For Jeb 2016. ChickenMitts just became the sacrificial Mormon lamb to be destroyed by Obama in 2012.

7. Romney is from Mass. Biggest knock in the primaries will be that.

8. I think you are right.
Any presidential candidate should be able to carry their home state. It is a great liability if they can't (see Gore 2000).

9. The other Repubs will go on and on about New England. And we really have mostly
moderate Repubs here. I am from Connecticut. I totally expect a slam against where Romney governed. Not conservative enough they will say and it might work.

12. H.W. Bush's informal endorsement via the Boston Globe:
http://www.boston.com/news/nation/washington/articles/2010/11/24/elder_bush_praises_romney/?rss_id=Boston.com+--+Top+political+stories

"WASHINGTON — Former President George H.W. Bush has offered Mitt Romney what some might consider an informal endorsement, saying he thinks the former Massachusetts governor would be “a very good president.’’

“We like Mitt Romney,’’ Bush said on CNN Monday night, when asked by host Larry King who his personal favorite is for the 2012 race for president. “We know him well and like him very much.’’

“He’s a reasonable guy,’’ he added. “A conservative fellow, which is good. But no, I think he’d be a good president, a very good president.’’"
