Well, actually some of his new policies did.
I made a terrible faux pas when I cancelled an automatic payment online to my credit card company. The original purpose of auto/pay was to create payments so I'd never be late. Mind you, I've NEVER made a late payment in all my years of using credit cards. But since I don't have enough to worry about, I figured why not worry about making a late payment. Not to mention that I almost always pay the entire amount (just thought I'd mention it anyway).
Anyhow, to make a short story long, what I ACTUALLY did was cancel my REGULAR payment and didn't realize what I'd done. It never occurred to me that I never got a confirmation number like I always do. I have so much to remember being the Liberal Watchdog that I am. Continuing on....
So today I get a friendly email reminder that my payment for last month is late. Now I've got a Late Fee attached and I don't know what happened. It took me awhile to figure it all out and when I did I called the card company and explained what had happened. The courteous young lady said, "Oh, don't worry. With the NEW REGULATIONS you aren't in arrears until 60 days."
THANK YOU MR.PRESIDENT!
I made the payment I thought I'd already made through her and she said since I paid today, she'd take the late fee off! I told her I didn't mind paying the late fee but I sure didn't want a black mark by my name. She laughed and said that I needn't worry about that.
Life is good. Just another reason I love my President.
