of course the recipient will end up getting stoned to death....
then we will scratch our asses, try to figure out what happened, and blame everyone but ourselves while knowing that we bitched about anything and everything there was to bitch about, and therefore contributed to whatever the result of that is.
Currently I don't follow polls, because it isn't worth it since politics are too volatile, and too swayed by what the media puts forth as to what citizens should think at any given minute, which means what we are supposed to think now is not going to be what we should think in 3 years...., but I will say this:
When Pres. Obama was sworn in and stated that he couldn't fix all of the problems perhaps even in one term, and he certainly couldn't do it by himself, and that we would sometimes disagree, and he also reminded us that 8 years to undo would be an uphill climb with bumps along the way, I didn't realize how many would deliberately attempt to forget this and do exactly what the MSM predicted; give this President too little time, take away our support, and handcuff him, while pelting him with stones, and forgetting how we got to were we were on January of this year.
Bottomline is that, of course, any person can justify their public hissy fits in where they mention over and over again, day after day, how they don't like this and that. Problem is that they are not operating in a vacuum, as the criticism from every corner adds up together, and in doing so, raises the approval of the other side, since there are only two real sides to choose from.
Many of us who may have Republican or conservative Dem congressional representatives, don't even bother to register our discontent with those folks, because we don't think anything will be done about it, and that is just plain wrong thinking.
If everyone unhappy with a congresspersons action would contact them, at some point, it may hold some sway, while not communicating means doing nothing at all which we all know means not countering those who may be voicing support to the Party of NO, and those in Congress who make it very difficult, if not nearly impossible, for this President to move on issues in a positive way based on the agenda he set forth during the election.
If we lose Congress in 2010, we will have been part of the problem, even if we can rationalize that it is congress that is at fault.... but since so few of us are part of a solution, we contribute to the state that we are in.
We bad mouth Congress adnauseum...true, but in the end, the majority of us don't really do much more than that. That is not a solution. That does not help.
And anyone that thinks that there will be satisfaction in being able to say "I told you so", and that this has priority over doing what should be done constructively, which means getting active not just at pointing the finger at this President while being at this website, then those folks really don't care about anything important, they just like to pretend that they do....but in reality, it really is only about them, which makes them no better than those they accuse and criticize.
