But I recognize the fact that no one would do things exactly like I would think they need to be done, so I continue to push for the things I think are important and work toward those goals, realizing that no one man will make everything okay. He is, after all, just the president...he doesn't get to rule by declaration, he still has to work with Congress and a thousand voices from hundreds of agencies, every one of which is telling him that their issue is the most important one. Just as we work with the president we have, he has to work with what he has, too.

My point was that those who bitch and moan because we're not suddenly living in an America that is a progressive utopia need to chill out sometimes. And given the way our government and our election process works, this is the way it works.

I'm just saying that given the choices that we had, and especially given the outcomes of the previous two presidential elections, we should sometimes step back and consider how good it is to not have things worse.

You should always continue to push for the change to make things better, though. Don't take the happy pill and think the man makes things okay, either. True progressive change takes hard work and time.
