Boehner in CYA mode, postpones votes, schedules "media address" for Sunday morning.
Edited on Sat Jan-08-11 09:30 PM by jefferson_dem
A statement from Eric Cantor (R-Va.), the House Majority leader, announced tonight that all legislation scheduled to be considered by the House next week has been postponed "so that we can take whatever actions may be necessary in light of today's tragedy."

"Our nation was shocked by the tragedy in Arizona earlier today," Cantor added in his statement. "Congresswoman Giffords serves Arizona's 8th District with distinction and thoughtful leadership, and it is horrifying that she was exposed to such violence at an event designed to reach the people she represents... Along with our nation, this institution has suffered a horrible tragedy."

Remember, just the other day the POS took the "It's not up to me to tell them what to think" approach.

1. They
know the deal. The hateful bullshit disguised as RW macho men and teabagger feminists caught up to them. No more smirks and thinking Palin and all the references to crosshairs, guns, targets and simulating shooting people are cute.

2. I bet he'll say something about violence being unacceptable coming from EITHER side..."
They ALWAYS add the "both sides" in there.

4. K&R- Although I have no interest in anything Boner or Cantor have to say,
I think is is rather amazinbg how they turned around after the shootings...from anger to support and sympathy. They really have NO reality behind their facade-they are complete frauds and hypocrites.
