Cops: We Haven't Heard Any Of The 'Threats' That Nixed Palin Event
Law enforcement in Colorado has not received reports of any of the "threats" that a nonprofit group cited as the reason for canceling a Sarah Palin appearance.

"We've had no problems," Glendale, Colorado Police Chief Victor Ross told The Denver Post. "We are not aware of any specific threats."

On Friday, The Sharon K Pacheco Foundation re-announced that Palin would keynote its Patriots & Warriors Gala on May 2 in Glendale -- and that ticket prices had been reduced by half. (Earlier reports stated that the event was announced Friday, but the Post reports that it was first announced on the group's Facebook page on Jan. 10.) The event was to serve as an awards banquet and a fundraiser for military families and children who have lost loved ones in combat. But on Saturday, the foundation abruptly canceled, blaming an "onslaught of negative feedback." In the Facebook post announcing the move, the group said that although no specific threats had been made, an "increase in negative rhetoric against the former Alaska governor" after the Tucson shooting "raises concern for her safety and the safety of others despite the call for civility in America."

"I really did not want the families that we honor, that have been through some traumatic experiences, to have to deal with people's ill intentions just as it relates to Sarah Palin," Foundation director Leo Pacheco told KCNC on Saturday.

3. exactly. The shine is off, her vapid, vacuous
word salad has gone bad. if anything, people would only go to see her crash and burn.

In many ways, she's a lot like Glenn Beck. The lower their ratings go, they see only one solution: get ever more shrill, more shocking, more outrageous.

4. What they were really saying is that they no longer wanted her
They see her as a bit of a danger, and no one wants to be near her. They got told by their own that she was not welcome. This is verbiage to cover them as they back slowly away from the product.

5. The negativity that surrounds her is the main reason she is not...
showing up.

Like ratings, ticket sales are down, (why else go for 1/2 price, she a cash hound?).

She's toxic and the GOP and Teabaggers know it.

:D

6. They might get a better reception in Idaho.
Where is the place those Los Angeles racist white police officers retire to in Idaho?

8. This is a classic example of how Palin is a liar who is also only in it for the money
My guess is that the Sharon K Pacheco Foundation got a call from Palin and her staff that they would not be at the event since ticket prices were cut in half and they would only get half of the bounty they were going to get from the event.

Tickets sales were probably coming in at a trickle.

So they pull out the violin and go with the "Poor Sarah" mantra about threats against the half-governor that Colorado law enforcement says is vapor.

The obvious proof that the cancellation was made due to other circumstances is that the event was cancelled a DAY LATER after the half-price announcement was made.

9. It looks like..
the police used the word "threats" , and the Warriors Gala used the words... "onslaught of negative feedback"

The group never said there were threats as far as I can tell.

Just sayin.

11. Sounds like Warrior Gala's, Leo Pacheco morphed "onslaught of negative feedback" to ill intentions
Ill intentions could certainly imply a threat. Law enforcement didn't agree.

"I really did not want the families that we honor, that have been through some traumatic experiences, to have to deal with people's ill intentions just as it relates to Sarah Palin," Foundation director Leo Pacheco told KCNC on Saturday.

13. Key point -
TICKET PRICES WERE REDUCED BY HALF. What that means is simply this...They couldn't sell enough tickets to hold the event.

And they are blaming that on negative rhetoric.
