Just so we are clear... I LOVE all those disappointed & angry about the healthcare reform situation

I've been a tad angry about having to make my point about the turn of events and I woefully apologize to those who think I have been a bit tawdry.

Let it be known that I am a firm believer that Single Payer "Medicare For All" is the proper solution for this country. It's nothing but obvious that we need to prove to the World that we can be the absolute prime example of not only freedom of expression but the perfect example of how healthcare for all should be the reason we are loved as a country as well.

Those who are adamant about wanting Single Payer are to be admired if they know the risks, the steps to get it done logistically and how it could be done in the political climate and lobbyist controls that our legislative branches are controlled by.

Those who are not versed on the details and realities that come with being in Beltway politics should be given some kind of "prize" for being passionate and interested. It sure beats people who don't give a shit one way or the other.

I'm for a Single Payer healthcare plan that is a hybrid of Canadian/British/Japanese styles. Unfortunately, knowing how the DC Beltway operates, my wishes are years away and on an incremental schedule based on incremental legislation.

So what do we do?

While we may disagree on just how we get to Single Payer and the steps to make is happen, we can (for the most part) agree that we need to be vigilant while we watch the legislative process meander in its slow style.

One thing we can all agree on is that we know that healthcare reform is not only needed, but is part of a lot of change we need to change from years of Republican rule. We have a lot more that we can agree on than the alternative, which is merely the theocratic neocon rule of government hellbent to make sure nothing ever changes.

and work with the hand that is dealt. It's a bitter pill, as some senators said today it is a foundation.

We need to start grooming, recruiting and supporting candidates that will work WITH our President. Make sure that the American people can see and feel the effects of HRC immediately. This will counteract the commercials the GOP will use to bash the new healthcare law during the 2010 campaign cycle.

After the election (2010)try to do some amendments to HRC.if we have to do this every two years, we have to do this every two years, end of story.

Lieberman isn't up for re-election until '12. The House is "in the bag" (Pelosi delivered a Public option with what appeared to me to be NO HELP WHATSOEVER FROM THE WHITE HOUSE)...

Who're you proposing "we" start recruiting and grooming... and to replace who? Bayh? Landrieu? After all Obama's efforts to reach out, does he have the khutzpah to then try to primary these folk? Or is he meaning to support them (in the name of "reaching out")... and then crossing his fingers that none of them will kick him in the balls when the time comes??

((Talk about a nerd president... he's being picked on by the minority party in the Senate... despite being the President. Have the Secret Service detain the minority party in Gitmo... they'll be presumed guilty... by themselves... and they'll be too busy trying to decide if their pork and beans have been poisoned by the guards to wage any sort of candidate of their own coherent choosing... ))
