1. Nope.
Did you see the presser this morning in Syria. Nowhere close to Gaddafi.

6. If you saw the presser today
There was an apology for the killing, saying that there should be no more bloodshed.
They are stopping the killing themselves - at least I hope they mean what they say.

Syrian security forces have opened fire on anti-government protesters in the city of Sanamein near Daraa, killing at least 20 people, according to one witness.

"There are more than 20 martyrs .... they opened fire haphazardly," the witness told Al Jazeera.

Reuters also reported that heavy gunfire could be heard in the southern city of Daraa, the focal point for demonstrations against Bashar al-Assad's regime in recent days.

Rula Amin, Al Jazeera's correspondent in Damascus, said Syrian forces apparently opened fire after protesters set fire to a statue of the late president Hafer al-Assad.

29. You can't compare Wisconsin and Ohio to the Arab world...seriously.
Our government is going in with guns threatening killing us in bed or bombing us in our sleep. Both situations are serious but NO WHERE in the same comparable status you're putting them in.

13. How much intervening are we supposed to do? And with what money?
Indeed, where DOES it end?

That starts sounding too close to PNAC talk "...to fight and win multiple wars on multiple fronts..."

:scared:

19. Yes, we (the West) should intervene on the side of the rebels, if govt. of Syria attacks them
The Arab League has no veto power on the mission, IMO.

25. Americans in Syria
Sure lets pack up and go over there and blow up some stuff. Wait though. Lets just send republican soldiers who are war believing Christians. This way we solve two difficulties at the same time.

Iraq is just next door.

The question is: are they ALL repukes? (I dunno, but I read somewhere a maj. of 'em R).

(Still, no ground troops allowed, s'il-vous-plait.)
