Heard at work: Of course, there's Obama trying to take all the credit
The reply instantly popped out of my mouth, "yes, it's terrible. I thought donning a flight suit and landing on an aircraft carrier to be surrounded by armed forces wearing costumes of pastel t-shirts in front of a Mission Accomplished banner was in very poor taste."

5. You're correct of course, I'll remember to use that one, too.
Since it seems to already be the meme. I also told him I thought President Obama would have taken the blame if it had gone wrong, as well.

3. Good on you. If I hear anything like that, I will NOT hold my tongue.
Bush got away with way, way too much incompetence to have the clueless try to claim that he did anything significant.

4. Good for you.
I wonder how many people actually think Bush flew the plane in?

6. One of the idiots that heard me
Said that Bush had the right to do that because he was a military man and a pilot and had walked the walk.

I just rolled my eyes and walked away.

15. "He (Bush) was a military man..." LOL.
You might remind your "friend" that Bush was a deserter.

9. People need to remind the misinformed that Bush DISMISSED catching OBL
months after 9/11.

Of course, the MSM is bending over backwards to remind people that he was the first one out there with that bullhorn, :puke: so you'll never see them run the footage of Bush saying that OBL isn't all that important.

If a Dem had said that, they'd wear out the recording from looping it so much.

12. Now, be fair...
it was a full siz months after 9/11 that he gave up and claimed he never really loved Osama.

17. Good for you for speaking up
I always do too, even if I don't know what to say exactly, but I can't let their comments go unchallenged if I don't believe them or believe they are incorrect. In your case maybe you gave that other person the courage to speak up too in the future.

19. The reality is that Obama is being extremely low-key about this...
Edited on Tue May-03-11 10:56 PM by Puzzler
... but of course, the wingnuts are taking a page out of Rove's playbook: attack your enemy on his strengths (not his weaknesses). Therefore the wingnuts are trying to say that Obama is strutting, when in fact, nothing could be further from the truth.
