First came the New Yorker piece alleging that he brandished his weapon and said some threatening things in a nightclub back in his FBI days. New York City’s only Republican representative denied the allegations, but it was harder to deny his vote to sharply scale back social programs like Medicaid. To whit, he had to suffer through boos and heckles (as well as some cheers) in a recent raucous town hall meeting."
