President Obama to Give First Post-Bin Laden Interview to Steve Kroft at ’60 Minutes’

President Obama will give his first interview since Osama Bin Laden was killed to the CBS News program “60 Minutes.” Correspondent Steve Kroft will conduct the interview tomorrow, and it will air on CBS Sunday.

As the most-watched TV news program in the country, “60 Minutes” is considered a ripe place for political and business leaders to make news and give interviews.

Ironically, coverage of Bin Laden’s death interrupted part of “60 Minutes” on the west coast of the U.S. last week.

1. I would be ok w/this if he hadn't already given an interview to Oprah. This is a bit much.

I don't like the idea of him making the rounds talking about it. It's less presidential.

We had the announcement speech....then he did an interview about it with Oprah....then he said a few words about it at some dinner hosted at the W.H. That's enuf. If he wanted to do 60 Minutes, he should've skipped the Oprah gig.

3. What did he talk about? YOu mean this historic thing happened, and Oprah

didn't ask about it? Or was it pre-taped?

That makes it better, I suppose, if he didn't talk about OBL with Oprah.
