Does anybody else think Daniels is coming off like Daffy Duck with the waitin' to hear from the Mrs.....especially since she ran off and married another guy for years! Just sayin'! If Michelle Obama would have done that you can bet there would be a lot of "concern" from the Family Value$ people. Anyhow should be a tough sell to the Freepers who are used to fake "Marlboro Man" packaging (including living on a "ranch" etc!) Good luck pulling that off with this guy.

Why are some folks so hot on Mitch Daniels? Whenever I see him, I think he looks like a wimp. Although Obama is a metro-sexual kind of guy, he is still a lot taller and imposing than Daniels. It’s unfortunate that many people are not interested in policy matters, but that’s the way of the world, and I can see a Mitch Daniels being completely overpowered by Barack Obama.

It goes to his decision making process. Here he waits until the last minute to consult his wife whom he gives absolute veto power in the decision. Indecisive and weak.

He’s a small short cuckold, completely rejected by his wife, which he then took back. He may be a nice guy but he isn’t Presidential timber. He cannot come close to beating Barky, and he’d better steer clear of Mantoinette.

3. Ok, that is the opinion

of one assclown at freeperville, who obviously has issues with a man considering the opinion of his wife, who would have, as Desi Arnez would put it, a lot of 'splainin' to do.

I don't think this poster represents the majority fundie opinion on this subject, as he obviously favors Barky and Mantoinette, whoever they are (I really don't have a clue).

Separate quotes, and many more like them at the link. What strikes me is the GOP always has to do this corny "Marlboro Man" thing like Reagan on the horse (or in Bush's case because he was scared of horses, "clearin' brush." Even McCain was featured "at his ranch" and of course he has the macho creds of being a POW. I think this type of BS is one of their most helpful tools and find it hard to picture a guy they can't manipulate into that mold.

5. Ok, three, maybe a few more

Perhaps that is representative of the majority at freeperland, but is it really what the GOP base thinks? Time will tell.

The Republicons are having a tougher time than usual finding someone who's turn it is. That means that a virtual unknown can take over the process, and if someone looks like he's rolling up the primary votes, I expect the rest of the GOP voters in the remaining primary states to follow suit. Mitch Daniels is really no better or worse than Tim Pawlenty, Jon Huntsman, or any other second-tier GOP candidate.

Whoever gets the ball rolling is likely to keep it rolling, and I fear that the Repukes will have a "fresh face" going into the national election next year. That's how we took the White House back from the Rethugs for the last fifty-one years, perhaps they will try it this time.

6. At the risk of sounding over confident

They got nuthin & nobody. Any serious candidate is going to want to wait til 2016. If they pick somebody as weak as Daniels it's because they have conceded and need a sacrificial lamb, and they will be putting all their eggs into taking back the Senate, which actually does worry me.

7. They may well come to that conclusion

America seems to like divided government, and we might see the GOP devolve into "Well, we got nothin' and you know Obama's going to win, so elect a counterbalance to him."

Of course, it wouldn't be put in such plain terms, but that could be the undercurrent of the message they have fifteen months from now.

8. Yup!! And that would be a bummer

The best case scenario would be if these 2010 GOP like Walker inspire enough buyer's remorse to energize the voters against teabaggers.

9. In all seriousness, that's a huge factor...

.... Obama looks like he just walked off a Hollywood set. The GOP party looks like .... a bunch of old, weird white guys, Michelle Bachmann and Herman Cain. Romney looks like a Just For Men model ... Daniles looks like Gollum (Bless him) and Chris Christie looks well ... you know.

Eventually the GOP will have to stand next to Obama on stage. The Republican will look small, old and weak .... and then he'll have to start speaking .... on the same stage as Obama.

I wouldn't want to run either.


Also, Mrs. Daniels is a MILF. That can be a compliment or not .... depends on how you take it.
