The majority of people in this country are women, whether straight or gay, white, black, Hispanic, or Asian. It's remarkable that we've never had a single one of them serve as either president or vice-president.

This is not to say I'd vote for a woman just because they are female (I supported Obama over Clinton in the primaries, but probably would have supported Hillary if he hadn't been in the race).

If she has the right qualifications, experience and a progressive stance on issues. I didn't vote for Clinton last time because I didn't agree with her stances nor did I agree with the way she ran as a candidate. I think there are some good possibilities out there for the next three presidential elections starting with 2016. It is pretty hard to predict what some potential candidates will do between now and then, so I think naming names is futile.

I think that 'maybe' for 'some' men it is not important to see a 'female' president in our life time - because they are men and 'maybe' they don't understand what it would mean for 'us women' that have never had the opportunity to have a female president in the White House.
I wonder how men would feel if there had 'never ever' been a male in the Oval Office before?
I think their opinion would change quite quickly ;)
