there are no vouchers involved. If you read the proposal it would work like Medicare part D or Medicare Advantage. The government pays a premium to the insurance company and then the insurance company sells it to the Senior.25% of all medicare plans are medicare advantage plans and most seniors are very happy with their plan.

19. I disagree. The framing, which the Democrats have been using, should be "kill" or "end" "Medicare".

Geeks (like us), pundits, and few others are the only ones aware of what voucher means. And, voucher is not a scary enough term.

If anything, I would rather we come up with a term that is more scary and descriptive. Something that reminds people that they will have to pay out of pocket and trust insurance companies when they need it the most. I'm just not sure that "voucher" is that term.
