Is it just me, or is everyone who claims to be a Republican running for president?

Right now the Repuke primary looks like the California recall ballot.

Pretty soon McCain will want to make a comeback.

I guess by then they'll separate the clowns from the outright village idiots.

I'm pushing for Madison Square Garden--the candidates will fill the stands, the audience will sit in chairs on the floor.

7. Oh, there are a lot of them

who know that the Repukes have really low chances this year, and that 2016 will be a better year. Huckabee, Daniels, Christie, immediately come to mind, and you can add in guys like Ryan and Cantor, as well.

Because this is going to be a wasted shot, many third and fourth tier Republicons figure that 2012 is a good time to get their names out there. They might even wind up as the VP nominee, and that's not a bad slingshot to be in for 2016.
