A question to those who want to kill the bill: Have you read it?
It's an honest question. I'm trying to differentiate between those who have read it, understand it and are making valid, coherent arguments against it -

and those who are reacting to news stories and blog reports, pundits and politicians.

I would really like to know. Thanks.

1. Isn't there only news stories to react to since it seems to change
by the minute?

2. There is no bill yet; the Senate needs to get it on. Then it goes to
conference, supposedly melding with the House bill.

7. Thank you.
My point - we don't know the end product yet; and those screaming "kill the bill" don't really know why; they're just reacting to experts who are reporting on it. Everyone needs to chill.

4. Right back at you! Have you read the bill? If yes, (2000 pages as I understand it)
what are your thoughts on it? Is it good for the majority of the American people?

6. I can't tell you it is because I haven't read it.
And that's my point. All of this posturing and name-calling; most people don't have a clue. At best, we listen to the experts decipher and then react.

8. Then your OP should be addressed to everyone, not just those that want to kill the bill.
Wouldn't you agree?

12. No. The ones who want to kill it are obstructing, just like Republicans.

13. And those that want to pass it only want to push it through without knowing why.

Per your quote:

"All of this posturing and name-calling; most people don't have a clue. At best, we listen to the experts decipher and then react."

Funny that you only addressed your OP to those on one side of the argument.

16. Your question has been answered.
No one has read this bill because the final Senate bill hasn't been produced yet.

Yet you choose to take an adversarial tone with those that want the bill killed, as opposed to EVERYONE that is reacting to it.

15. Oh, so now I am a Republican (I can hardly type that actually)? So, do you support the
Pharmaceutical companies or the White House on this bill? What is your mandate in supporting the bill?

9. It hasn't even been published or made available to the public

your question is irrelevant.

edit: unless you are a psychic or a member of congress, you couldn't read it at this time even if you wanted to.

11. Has anyone read the entire 2000+ pages...
and understand it entirely? I doubt it.
