Keep speaking, Dr. Dean, you've outraged the out of control Congress & White House, and speak for me
Most of us know that if everyone allows this to take the course it's been running for months with the Congress & the White House, it's going to lead to the health insurance industry coming out smelling like a f*cking rose to investors - meanwhile - the people will be forced to take coverage from these crooked death-panel insurance firms who care nothing about our lives!

I know because I used to work for one when I was young and paid medical claims in the 90's. I remember how harshly the medical review staff was on claims and learned eventually that they were being squeezed by the higher-ups to save $$$. I tried paying everything I could, and only regret not paying for one claim that I still wish I went against the rule on, but point is - these companies only care about profit - not health.

Dr Dean is standing up for the people who are suffering to even get by, and God forbid they have any medical crisis come up. It seems like the lobbyists and big campaign donations have those in Congress & the WH bought & paid for, before we even cast our 'Change' votes.

Does anyone remember the angry mobs forcing the repeal of Medicare Catastrophic Care back in the 90s?

You'll see them pop up again when they see the combination of premium increases, taxes and penalties hitting people's wallets and pocketbooks!

19. ya know, he still could be one day. We need a reformer, if these people who are so very upset all
across this country keep up the populist views they have going this year - man, I tell ya, we're gonna need rough n' tumble speakers like Dean to stand up for what's right.

I so appreciate Dean fighting to make this bill everything it can be if we're gonna get it whether we want it or not - and we need everyone pitching in to let people know we want our voices heard - more progressive issues - less capitulation with Joementum!

5. People who get caught with their hand in the cookie jar seldom appreciate the light
of truth being forced upon them.

The fact is, the entity that will be helped most of all by the current Senate bill is the health care insurance companies.

Mr. and/or Mrs. Average American will be hard pressed to pay another monthly bill, which basically amounts to a tax, with soaring unemployment and the cost of everything rising except for pay checks (unless you're a CEO on Wall Street).

Dr. Dean deserves more credit and more respect from the White House and Congress than he's received.

I'm tired of the bought and paid for government in this country.

started a fight with one tough dog! Dean has righteous anger and the facts behind him. God bless him.

How many more have to die needlessly so these millionaires & billionaires can lives greater than the kings of the past thousand year? We need full coverage and the best possible outcome here, and everyone should be championing Dr. Dean's fight for the best bill possible - not decrying him as irrelevant - clearly he's UBER relevant because the WH went after him!

That's why he needs our support!

21. Same here
Obama has lost me. I hung in there as long as I could - I campaigned for the man! But he won't stand up to big moneyed interests - the war, health care, the ever increasing gap between the rich and the poor - all of it. We can't take 8 years of this, and we can't take a repubilican. I am ready to support Dean right now for a run in 2012. Obama (probably that cocky bastard Rahm) has treated Howard like shit and now it's biting him in the ass as Howard has no need to suck up to him and can feel free to tell the truth. Dean/Kucinich/Sanders - our best hopes out of this mess.

20. K&R - We need Howard
and we may well need him to challenge Obama in 2012 if he can't show some real leadership. This is getting embarrassing for us. Not only does Obama keep most of the crap Bush did, as well keep on many people Bush hired/appointed, there were NO investigations of the Bush era crimes, he's escalating the war in Afghanistan, done nothing on DADT, nothing to help solidify gay rights, now this horrible health care sellout, as well as the bank bailout -- this is NOT how Democrats should be and this is NOT change. Kucinich, Dean, Sanders - show um how it's done please!

22. Dean's speaking out will probably hinder further capitulations to JoLo, Lincoln,...
and other conservaDems, and that's a good thing. With opposition growing on the left as it has, I don't think the White House or conservative Senate Democrats can afford to let this bill become even more pro-corporate and anti-citizen.

Why do we ..on the left..allow such great defenders of the people and the Constitution like Dean and Kucinich be pushed out of the places of power?
We desperately need to start standing up for the ones standing tall for us. We must not keep on allowing others to chose for us and we must stop cutting our own throats by allowing the media and the corporations to rule.
By All thats Rightious..WE ARE THE PEOPLE DAMN IT AND THIS NATION BELONGS TO US~~~~!!!!

36. St. Staz, we don't really ALLOW it, more like it's jammed down our throats via the media
onslaught that's called network news and commentary. No individual who threatens the corporate hegemony will ever be allowed an ongoing national forum for his/her ideas.

Those of us who do not have millions of dollars to throw into the fray are being outspent and outmaneuvered at every turn. The ruling elites learned their lessons well over the last two millenia and are not about to give power back to the rabble.

44. I believe that we need someone like Dean
to help us organize and be a progressive force outside of the regular election cycle.

If someone like Dean, with the people's ear, were to step outside of the self-perpetuating system of corruption that we call the election cycle, and lead the people in constructive rebellion against a system that no longer works for us, I would use every resource at my disposal to support that rebellion.

I am available for marches of protest and advocacy, I am available for boycotts (and already boycotting), I am available for general strikes, and I will put my financial resources behind that kind of organized effort.

I have written in multiple posts: Our elected officials will not serve the people until we make them more afraid of us than they are of their corporate masters.

50. of course he wants HCR. Where does kill the bill & start over imply he doesn't want HCR? also,
he wants the best improvements out of conference, and it's called politics - he is using his well respected voice that gained back to back Democratic victories in election cycles, something I don't think I've seen in my life, to speak out on the crappy amendments in the HCR bill that the Senate is considering.

Dean is awesome and yes, he speaks for me, as I know there's plenty in this bill that is good, and plenty that's not good, and he can use political rhetoric to help change the arc, and I support him for doing so, friend.
