They did whatever they needed to get votes for the items they believed in and they got it done, over and over and over and over again and when it looked like they might not get their way, nuclear option was on the table... destroy the fillibuster, it didn't matter.

Obama has shown NONE of the moxi necessary to lead. Even with a heavily democratically controlled house and Senate he has been completely ineffective on the issues that matter.
