have the same nontaxable income as those earning $250k? Determine the maximum exemptions and deductions that those earning $250k claim on their return and those with less income get the same.

3. The point is that people complain about the majority of people not paying federal income taxes. |
|
Yet there is no explanation on the fact that those in higher income brackets have more income that is NOT TAXED then the lowest brackets.
Everyone has the same claimed exemptions regardless of income based on their circumstances.
Everyone can claim either the standard deduction or itemize, whichever is greater. Middle income and above tend to itemize. Which means more income not taxed.

6. THE POINT WAS THAT THOSE WITH MORE INCOME |
|
HAVE MORE INCOME THAT IS NOT TAXED!!
YET THE FOCUS IS ON THOSE THEY CLAIM DON'T PAY INCOME TAXES.

7. So? They still pay a lot more taxes don't they? |
|
Seems like a silly thing to be angry about.

get tax money bailouts to fund their bonuses?
My guess is that those making under $250k are being taxed fairly already.

4. Did you understand my post? |
|
Read my other post above.
They have been complaining about those in lower income not paying taxes which is bull. But they don't investigate the facts about those in upper income brackets asking how much of their income is not taxed. When those with taxable income of $250k or more have on average have about $64k income that is not taxed. Substantially more than even the income of those in lower income bracket.
