1. Perry Meeting Rumsfeld Might Be A Red Flag For Sensible People, BUT
"Slick Rick" consulting with Donald Rumsfeld might be a red flag for sensible people, but sensible people don't vote Republican these days. Moreover, President Obama's position has slipped from where it was a year or so ago. I fear that the only fruit he harvested from trying to make nice with Republicans has been millions of despairing, turned-off, and cynical voters who are losing hope that the President will do what we wish and pray he'd do--STAND UP AND FIGHT FOR THE AVERAGE AMERICAN!

2. I don't like Perry. He's scary when it comes to cuts in government.
Perry is peaking now and I think he'll crash and burn. This will leave Romney still standing. I don't like Romney either. But I think Romney could be the only one left standing. He's been the only steady one in the polls. While others come and go, Romney is still there.

4. Perry Might Be Peaking Among Independent Voters BUT
"Slick Rick" might--possibly--be peaking among independent voters, at least those voters who are now beginning to think about finding out more about him and considering whether or not to vote for him, but I don't think he's peaking among activist Republican voters. The sorts of Republicans who are most likely to vote in primaries are way-y-y-y-y-y out in right field these days--and that's going to help Perry a LOT in GOP primaries, particularly in former Dixiecrat territory and in "border" states like Kansas, Missouri, and Indiana.

I suspect that Perry is likely to be the Republicans' presidential nominee. I hope and pray that independents will wise up about him and vote AGAINST a Rick Perry candidacy.
