16. "[A]s past"? WTH does that mean? Just because he has passed legislation, it doesn't mean
that it was good legislation. I bet Bush signed more bills than LBJ.

27. He's done some good things...
Edited on Sun Sep-04-11 12:02 AM by MrMickeysMom
I am pretty sure most agree.

But, what he has done or NOT done puts all of this straight to the circular file of presidency. He did not stand with labor when he said he would, he did not stand up against Wall street (my husband says he never promised that, so I was getting what was promised), and he not only DID NOT stand up for the air we breath, he was worse than Bush by not doing a damn thing about it.

Science is pretty clear about pollution standards. I don't thing we'll have the luxury of standing around arguing about this stuff for much longer.

He said, "Yes We Can", and, you know all those people in DC getting arrested? They are saying, "No you Shouldn't" to the XL tar sands pipeline. All of us who are and will get arrested believed in this guy who is a wonderful orator, but we sure as shit aren't going to put in him back in office.

I'm pretty informed after all, bigdarryl...

edit: HAS

Obama criticism and accusations of watching Faux News.

Please, don't insult my intelligence; when I do watch it's purely for laughs.

The truth is that what Obama passed is not as great as you think; sorry to break it to you. Sure, it's a MILLION times better than the alternative; I'll never dispute that, but the healthcare and financial legislation were NOT progressive pieces of legislation and that's a simple fact.

I won't even go into the debt-ceiling raise.

Stop being complacent. Obama could have done more; a LOT more. Yet he continues his center-Democrat, let's-work-together shtick and that has gotten him nothing but progressively lower approval ratings.

He's a typical Democrat: good intentions, well educated, rational, but ultimately soft and ineffective.

He needs to be a raging liberal.

And then they say shit like this. What is the point of bringing up his skin color now?

But he won't. And he doesn't want to.

9. There are few words I'd like to hear him speak...Let's start with "No!" to the GOP...
Then silly things like... "single payer"... or "I'm against a COLA adjustment"... hey those would be just dandy.

32. No. I never claimed he had NEVER said no... but that I wanted him to say no.
And says me. He has never vetoed any Republican legislation that has been of value. Prove me wrong. Show me meaningful legislation that he has vetoed because of its Republican values.
