Did anyone ever shout out "I love you" to the chimp
during a speech? I don't remember that ever happening, and it seems to happen frequently with President Obama, with him responding with "I love you back" or somesuch. Very encouraging. :fistbump:

1. I'm guessing you didn't hear every one of his speeches. "Ever" and "never" are pretty useless words
ordinarily. One exception negates their meaning.

I don't know if anyone ever shouted out "I love you" to Bush. Maybe, but probably not often.

2. Actually I think they did.
I seem to recall in the early part of the bushes administration fans would shout out to him. I think it was before he gave more than a dozen speeches.

You underestimate the bind allegiance of the bushbots.

5. Probably...
He still has his Backwash Base... there are still people who think he was the best president ever, and they don't have the sense to know how that looks on them.

6. I don't think everything at a Presidential rally is "impromptu". Especially continually recurring
events. I'm sure all modern President have "scripted" shout outs of one type or another scheduled for every public event.

11. There's no evidence of that ever happening at any of Pres. Obama's gatherings.

For example, his townhalls are obviously quite unscripted.

Also, I don't recall it ever happening at any other President's speeches, Democratic or Republican.

10. I remember a few moments like that during Bush's
presidency, though not sure how spontaneous it was. Most of his appearances were strictly scripted and the audiences hand-picked.

15. Despite the naysaying, President Obama doubtless receives FAR more positive
spontaneous expression than Bush and his "First Amendment Zones" earned.

But don't expect affinity for President Obama to be well-received here. Lately it's more likely to be derided as teeny-bopper hero worship by the usual crowd of detractors.

21. I am sure that many did
The media created a likable image - for a man they KNEW in his father's term as a mean drunk. Even stories that he blew up frogs as a kid led to no negative comments.
