1. Well then, thank god we god rid of that annoying progressive fire brand for sending half naked
pictures of himself to people.

I mean at long as our moral superiority is intact then why does it matter if we burn liberals at the stake and lose their seats in congres....

at least we can feel good about ourselves....

2. the fact is some of us tried to tell the fainting couch crowd at the time
that this might happen. The district has been trending GOP and Obama has angered it with his Middle East policy. This is what happens when we force incumbents to retire over stupid shit.

Where the fuck was the national DNC on this race Debbie seems like a nice lady and I like her a lot but I'm not feeling her as the Chair woman of the Democrat Party

9. I think the national party was thinking it was wise to pretend all was well
thus keeping the national GOP out. Clearly that wasn't a very wise decision.

Yeah, the policy which is very marginally more balanced than it has been for the last God knows how many years. Suddenly there are certain groups who are outraged. Their one true goal seems to ensure that the USA becomes Israel-By-Proxy and decimates whatever Palestine is at the moment...surely the small steps Obama has taken are positive for a future Israel which could live in hope rather than fear of perpetual violence? How did we get to this stage? So sad.

7. I hope this is not indicative of a trend this coming year. The Jewish vote has always been

the Democrats' for the taking. This is not a good sign.

12. I don't think most of the Jewish voters in that district are representative
of the larger Jewish community, either in New York or the rest of the country.

These are nearly all very Orthodox, some Hassidic, many Russian Jews. They would definitely trend conservative in comparison to "regular" Orthodox, Conservative, and Reform Jews.

13. It's not just independents.
"If Turner wins on Tuesday it will be largely due to the incredible unpopularity of Barack Obama dragging his party down in the district. Obama won 55% there in 2008 but now has a staggeringly bad 31% approval rating, with 56% of voters disapproving of him. It's a given that Republicans don't like him but more shocking are his 16% approval rating with independents and the fact that he's below 50% even with Democrats at 46% approving and 38% disapproving."

14. And if Anthony Weiner hadn't texted dick pics he'd still be in Congress.
Don't blame Obama because Weiner decided to shit away his House seat.

16. Everything is Obama's fault......and I know it's true,
cause I read it in the New York times and here at DU!

Of course, if Pres. Obama's policy toward Israel tipped towards Israel just a tinch more,
most DU posters would add that as one more reason to shit on him. So at some point,
like the boy who cried wolf, is there a real reason to give a shit of what some posters
here think of Obama?
