Teabaggers cheer for death again, this time for letting uninsured die.
Edited on Tue Sep-13-11 04:45 PM by jefferson_dem
The Crowd On Health Insurance

A bit of a startling moment happened near the end of Monday night's CNN debate when a hypothetical question was posed to Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas).

What do you tell a guy who is sick, goes into a coma and doesn't have health insurance? Who pays for his coverage? "Are you saying society should just let him die?" Wolf Blitzer asked.

"Yeah!" several members of the crowd yelled out.

<SNIP>

The answer may have struck a truly libertarian tone but it was clearly overshadowed by the members of the crowd who enthusiastically cheered the prospect of letting a man die rather than picking up the tab for his coverage.

The party of "moral values" has not only been run off the road, it's been hijacked.

14. Well not necessarly
They screwed around with trying to keep the ex-husband in Florida from taking his wife off life support. It's whatever really fits their twisted description of "saving lives".

5. Wolf totally screwed up that insurance question
instead of a man who makes a conscious decision not to buy insurance, the question should've been about a man who cannot bloody AFFORD insurance!!!!!

11. Ron Paul's shrug, as if to say...
"That's their problem" was more chilling to me than the response of at the intellectually moribund shitheads slumped & slobbering in the audience. That manis supposed to be a fucking doctor? Can you imagine if you've gone to him with a health-complaint, he's doing some sort of procedure and suddenly gets a call telling him that your insurance doesn't cover that specific area? You're out of there; he's not even going to wipe the blood away!

Fuck me. And people wonder why no genuine Cancer or AIDS cures have been released. It's because these kind of people work among the biggest, most profitable medical establishment in the world.

17. SERIOUSLY ...
Sadly, there are about 30-35% of this country who REALLY believe that. They just don't understand the scale of it one bit.

We have an amazingly generous and giving people, but the non-government sector cannot even BEGIN to address the cost of health care in particular for more than a small percentage of those who cannot afford or access it

It just is childish.

21. Right - the liberty to die if you happen to be unlucky.
Living without a net - ain't that what America's all about?
