Senate Democrats to dismantle Obama jobs plan on behalf of Republican colleagues

by Geekesque

In a determined effort to convince the base that losing their Senate majority would be no big deal, Senate Democrats are already trying to dismantle the jobs program, and using Republican talking points to do it.

<...>

So, to recap:

We have Senate Democrats opposing:

raising taxes on the rich
ending tax breaks for the oil companies
injecting any cash at all into the economy

So, apparently, the only thing that can even gain 50 votes in the Senate is something that slashes entitlements, kills jobs, favors the rich, and gives a pass to Big Petroleum.

more

Disgusting beyond words!

Updated to add this from Josh Marshall: Staying on Message

Remaining House "Blue Dogs" resist talk of job creation in favor of budget cuts at Capitol Hill anti-deficit event.

1. Those would be the 'moderate, centrist' folks in the Senate
each and everyone of them is a known right winger, sorry but that's what it is, Webb is an anti equality sexist twerp and he's about the best of that lot.

4. They are going to hurt Obama more than the rethugs. He has the
rethugs over the barrel right now. If they agree to pass it he gets his jobs. If they refuse to pass it they get the blame. But if the crazy centrists and blue dogs fiddle with it they will be bringing the blame right back to the Democrats. They are so stupid.

5. That's the
reality, which is completely different from the hyperbole and speculation.
