the latest Faux poll, and the main reason is supposedly because of his terrible debate performance and his calling people "heartless" for not agreeing the children of the undocumented workers should get an education.

the GOP base to accept him

5. Yup. But it's not making Romney more acceptable. It's just making Perry LESS acceptable.
It's a win-win for us.

8. Which Hispanics?
The Cuban immigrants and their children in southern Florida? People from Puerto Rico living in the Northeast who are US citizens by birth? Recent immigrants from Central America? Spanish-surnamed people in the Southwest whose families were here long before there was a United States? They don't all think and vote alike.

14. I've talked to Hispanics in New Mexico
they want the Illegals gone. Democrats along with the republicans. An anti immigration plan isn't going to bother them, some of the people I know voted for the new Governor, a puke because of her anti illegals stance.

18. Yeah, NM is a little different.
I think it's because almost all Hispanics here have either been her for centuries or arrived during and shortly before the Mexican Revolution of 1910. We have relatively small recent immigration.

11. Please Please Let it be Romney.
The GOP vote won't turn out for him like Perry or Yet-To-Be-Named.

17. As Rachel Maddow once said: Mitt Romney is bad with people.
I don't trust the polling at this point.

I think that if you put Romney and Obama head to head - Obama will destroy Romney. Perry will at least be able to hang on to the South. Independents has always been a nebulous polling category. Everyone wants to say they're independent - a majority really aren't.

13. Romney is moving further and further to the right by the day.
Pretty soon, he'll be more conservative than Perry.

15. Most Hispanics are not Mormon, so Romney has only a little appeal to them.
But, his policies are all opposite of what they generally support, so he may as well have called them "brainwashed" like Cain said of Black voters on Tuesday.
Neither group is going to support Romney at all.
Even though the MSM wants him, not Perry, as the nominee.
