Edited on Wed Nov-02-11 04:18 PM by DemocratSinceBirth
Three women, a conservative radio hot and his two female employees, and a GOP pollster who witnessed one of the events.

on edit- I can't keep count. More shoes have not dropped since they opened Imelda Marcos' closet

Bill Clinton had a lot of skeletons but 2011 is a very different milieu from 1991.

8. I Didn't Get The Gist
Did Cain tell the female employees "his wife wasn't around." ?

I once heard William Weld say something profound during the Lewinsky brouhaha when Chris Matthews asked him if he thought Clinton could survive it. Weld said as long as people aren't laughing at him he could survive it.

Cain is becoming a joke. He's toast...

11. Racism does play a role. A charismatic white man (Clinton) can get away with more
than a black man (Cain) can - it's not fair, but it's true. There are still unfair racial stereotypes about black men. However, it's the drip drip drip that destroys campaigns.

Clarence Thomas survived only because not a single other woman came forward. I'm sure that other women were harassed by Thomas. Some have come forward in the years since 1991. But at the time it was just him vs. Anita Hill on the floor of the Senate, and a woman loses against a powerful man every time - a truth even more universal and unfair than the racial stereotypes.

If it were just two harassment suits against women in the 1990s and Cain admitted it and said that they'd all moved on, and nobody else came forward, this would be yesterday's news. But Cain lied and denied and lots more women are coming forward and now the news media has a new cat toy.

12. My understanding of the Thomas affair is that there were other
women who were in a word "prevented" from getting on record because they had warts themselves.

14. Everybody has warts. The Democrats allowed Thomas to be confirmed.
Biden allowed Anita Hill to be slandered. I watched the whole thing on TV. I was home on leave and had nothing to do but watch every minute of it. I've never forgiven Biden. And as for the Republicans on that committee - pffft.
