Cain’s Lawyer on Accusing: ‘Think Twice’
L. Lin Wood, the lawyer hired by the Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain to fend off sexual harassment accusations, has warned that any other women who might be considering coming forward with similar allegations “should think twice.”

On Wednesday morning, less than 24 hours after Karen Kraushaar identified herself as one of two women who had received monetary settlements relating to harassment allegations against Mr. Cain while working for the National Restaurant Association in the late 1990s, Ms. Kraushaar faced questions about a workplace complaint she filed at a subsequent job, at the Immigration and Naturalization Service. Hours later, Rush Limbaugh seized on that report to argue that Ms. Kraushaar has “a pattern of whining.”

1. A lot of people, especially certain men, have no clue
just how common this stuff is in the workplace.

2. These intimidation tactics leave me beyond aghast...
Wood should be brought up on ethical charges by the state bar for that, IMO.

4. What an ass this guy is. Cain has to be one of the most arrogant
morans to date. Where there is smoke, there is usually fire.

5. That is how sexual harrassment--and sexual assault remain prevelant

keeping them silent. Attacked, demeaned, degraded. The attacks have two goals: attempting to silence others who are considering coming out and minimizing the women who actually had the courage to disclose.

He just threatened those victims of sexual harassment. He should be shamed out of the limelight. How much are koch bros. paying?

6. What a complete asshole.
Cain is in trouble here. If he thinks he's going to sue anyone who accuses him of sexual assault or abuse he's insane. He would NEVER survive a trial, because everything would come out.

Just another blustering, empty repuke dipshit.

8. disgusting. I wish Cain would ride out the storm and be nominated
he would lose in an avalanche of votes against him. Not only on personal grounds but his 9-9-9 tax plan would represent one of the biggest tax increases on people ever.

11. If The Accusations Are Really False Why Doesn't Cain Sue?
Cain's lawyers are warning any other women who might make further claims of sexual harassment against him to "think twice". Coming from a lawyer, this must presumably mean that they are threatening legal action. In which case, bring it on.

Why - if he is so completely innocent and free from any stain - has he not pursued legal action already? In the absence of any visible action against the nearly half dozen accusers who have emerged to date, the warning to "think twice" is nothing but laughable. The next accuser has simply to to stand up and respond, "or else, what?"
