Off subject a bit, but today, I stopped at no less than a dozen stoplights--each with its own homeless individual bearing a sign begging for help. HOW do I decide who to help (assuming I can afford to help any of them)? WTF are we supposed to do? It leaves me so damned demoralized, knowing I have to drive past so many of them and with that horrifically guilty feeling of looking the other way when stopped literally side-by-side.

I haven't been the biggest of DU donors by any stretch of the imagination, but I've always tried to give something each year, or even each quarter. But, now, with so much need out there and so much personal $$ insecurity, I am at a loss. :shrug:
