Ann Coulter Tells Republicans To Shut Up And Fall In Line Behind Willard Romney
Ann Coulter says it is "suicidal" for the Republican party to pick the most conservative candidate no matter what. "I'm a little tired of these Johnny-come-lately conservative purists," Coulter said on FOX News.

"I think the candidate -- it is going to be and is the strongest candidate to beat Obama is Mitt Romney. And you know, I'm a little tired of these Johnny-come-lately conservative purists. Where were they when we were running John McCain? For Pete's sake, Romney is a million times better than McCain. Romney speaks absolutely beautifully, he's been magnificent in the debates. I think he's a little bit of a country club Republican, too, but let's just get a Republican in there and get Obama out."

You will eat your porridge. How can you attain the White House if you won't eat your porridge.

19. Some of Us May Be Frustrated With Our Nominee, But The Repubs Flat Out Will Hate Theirs.
The election will hinge upon which group has more energy. The one that have some of its members frustrated? Or the one that cannot stand their own nominee.

21. While I generally agree that Romney
Edited on Wed Nov-16-11 05:13 PM by Berlin Expat
could be Obama, the problem for the GOP on that one is the base.

I occasionally put on the protective gear and gas mask and check out FR.

If Romney gets the GOP nod, it's not unfair to say that many of the FReepers will either sit this one out, concentrate more on the downticket races, or vote third party.

Obama can win if Romney is his opponent because the hardcore base of the GOP (the Teahadis) will not vote for him, and I'd say a majority of them won't. If Romney alienates or loses his party's base, he cannot win.

That's why I'm genuinely hoping Romney is the GOP nominee: it'll have the effect of suppressing the GOP GOTV to a fairly large extent.

22. Most will hold their nose (to say the least) and vote for Romney.
Some will stay home. What is important is that the Democratic base is brought out in droves.

Romney is smarmy. Obama's team must emphasize this negative trait in order to bring the swing voters over.

Freeperville way.

They're blowing a gasket. Calling her a RINO, senile, etc. The usual witty repartee they're so well known for.

Conservatives eat their own faster than I can polish off half a dozen tacos from Taco Bell. And that's pretty damned fast. :headbang:

20. If Romney is the nominee, I hope that the story
of strapping his poor dog to the roof of the family car for 12 hours, makes the rounds again. Maybe some dog lovers will think twice about voting for this piece of crap.

and the answer to it is to re-elect the president. Let's just get a democrat in there and keep Willard out.
