This has to be seen to believed. First you have the supremely swarmy Frank Luntz, whose very nature makes one need a shower after hearing him talk. The ludicrously worshipful tone with which he asked his questions was :puke: But yes, it gets worse. Seeing Newt, the serial adulterer, Herman, the serial groper, Michele the serial liar all lecture us about morality was worth at least :puke: :puke: :puke: But then for the topper you had all the state's rights people lecturing us about why the feds should be in control of abortion and marriage. Just an amazing hypocrisy fest.

2. I tried to watch it as a poliblogger--(journamalistic distance)

I just couldn't. It was everything fake, pious and bad about conservatism. I was hoping I could hang on for some blog-fodder--someone drifting off on a homophobic rant or getting personal about other people's uteruses--I couldn't hang in there for it, and all of these folks are on record for being both all about denying your business even if it is your business and being all up in your business anyway. I found it too painful to really follow. It was alienating and insulting to me. I know there must be people out there who ate this up, but they make me scared and unhappy.
