1. DU's NASCAR fans are taking this personally...
I guess it's hard to understand that those who booed are the "class acts" in this scenario.

10. Why should they avoid something because of a few bad apples?
Edited on Mon Nov-21-11 04:10 PM by CakeGrrl
They're doing work to support the military everywhere in this country.

It's those who boo who look bad.

Good on FLOTUS to go where the audience isn't 'friendly' territory on paper or by stereotype.

If NASCAR comes from that having an image of racist rednecks for supporters, that isn't her fault.

I say shine a light on the ignorance and racism wherever it exists.

3. Someone has to care …
The good news is, these Ladies don’t have to be “Signed Up” to be deeply involved in charity and activism for American Children.

4. And it's likely that they don't care at all
that they were booed.
They still do good work no matter how loud someone boos.
This is a non-issue to me. Someone booed. Big deal.

9. It gets worse
thanks to the dung beetle limbaugh:

Rush Limbaugh accused Michelle Obama of "uppity-ism" during his Monday show.

Limbaugh was speaking about the First Lady's recent reception at a NASCAR event, where both she and Jill Biden were booed by the crowd. He said it was not surprising that she was booed, because the crowd at NASCAR resented her healthy eating initiatives and her husband's policies.

12. Be interestng to see if NASCAR has balls enough
to apologize for their fans.

After all they helped set the stage for this curdness, literally.
